Description
PNR Coyle rehabilitated the track infrastructure during the annual shutdown at the Iron Ore Company’s automatic ore loading station.

Scope
PNR Coyle removed track and switches and reinstalled new ties, rail and switches and surfaced the track.

The Iron Ore Company’s ore loading station is the heart of operation and cannot be out of commission for a long period. To accommodate this operational requirement, all work was completed in 86 hours, well within the designated 96-hour work window.

Unique features
Tight work windows and the job site conditions presented a number of project challenges. PNR Coyle worked in close partnership with the client to complete the project safely and on time. Because catenary lines were directly over the project site, the PNR Coyle project team took extra precautions to thoroughly plan work and conduct safety briefings to address the work site environment.
